Sprint now allows data roaming on Verizon??? Is this true? December 20, 2006

PTIers? Can this be true.  Has Sprint finally done something that benefits its customers?   Not sure, but I have seen a couple of articles on this.    Like the original site, I would like PTIers to confirm this.  Has anyone experienced this or have any information that would lead us to believe this is true.  Let’s here from you.  I really would like to know what’s going on!!

Yep, it’s true. Today I was riding in DC’s Metro (Subway) which presently has only the Verizon signal. I have Samsung M 610 w/the Ultimate Vision Plan (unlimited Sprint TV, Navigation (GPS) &etc. I used the Sprint Navigation, using the signal in the Metro. Yes, it works. I called Sprint to see if I would be charged any more, but they said that since I have the “roaming plan” ($5.00 more per month for roaming with no additional chrages) I would not be charged extra.
