Should we leave Sprint? December 22, 2006

I just did a quick review of posts and comments recently about all of the problems PTIers are having with the Sprint wireless service.  Here’s my question.  Why are PTIers staying with the Sprint service?  Why?  There have been SMS problems, billing trickery, bad customer service, bad press, and others.  What is it about Sprint and PTIers that keep us hanging with them?  I haven’t divorced them either by the way.

Maybe we need to take BB King’s advice.  If the “thrill is gone away,” maybe we need to make Sprint “feel sorry some day” by leaving.

I agree with you, FF. I think in their desparation Sprint is resorting to decietful tatics to lock us in to these contracts. They offer a lot of “great deals”. What they don’t tell you is that whenever you take advantage of any of the offerings, there is some type of service committment invovlved. You are often not told about it for some time. Only a company that can’t deliver has to resort to such measures. So in answer to your question, I think a lot of us feel “stuck”. If I were Verizon, I would shock the world with a one time “switch over” program that would pay any and all termination fees issued by other carriers. In addition, they could put you into a new unit comparable to the one that you are currently using. If Verizon would do this… They would “shock the world”! You would see folks leaving in droves!

Verizon, Let me know if you start buying contracts out of the early termination clause. I am yours… Just let me know when you start doing some predatory marketing and realize you can take as many Sprint customers as you need!
